Hello,

I often have to mix slash and rhythmic notation with chords above. The standard slash symbol is too large for my taste, so I change it (doc.options -> alternate notation - large slash: music characters -> change from #213to #243). But then the slash is not in the middle of my staff line but too low.

I can change this by going to staff style -> define ->appearance: staff: other -> stem revearsal -2 instead of -4. The slash is now centered BUT the chord symbols move up!

Is there any setting that leaves the position of the chord symbols untouched when using a different slash symbol that is centered within the staff lines? Or should this be a "feature request" in the infamous MakeMusic forum? (Would probably end up at the bottom of the list...)

Why not simply adjust the chord baseline for that staff? Takes two seconds.

Aaargh. Guess why not: No problem for one measure or one staff - but I have this problem in way too many measures. So I am looking for advice to avoid manual adjustment.

For this you might try Rhythmic Notation and not show stems Create a new one so as to not alter the standard one). You would then need to enter quarter notes in the measures. You could mute the playback if that is necessary (can be done with the JW Change plugin). With this method, you automatically get the smaller slash, so no need for using a different stem reversal number.

P.S.: For this demo, I also fixed the problem with Rhythmic Notation in that the stems didn't connect with the slashes.
