A friend (really, it's not me!) has a piece in cut time, q=120. Her director wants a stomp beat for a few measures. How would that be defined for playback? Is it a matter of changing tempo and adding accents? What would you do? (Other than writing Stomp and a tempo?

Instead of a tempo change, perhaps do it every other beat.

At this point, I'm waiting for her choir director to give me a call. If I hear what she wants, I suspect I can make it happen.

Let us know--I'm curious. If, as I suspect, it's to set the tempo like a click track, then of course a tempo change is not appropriate!
