I'm using Finale 2014.5 on Mac 10.13.3. I have been having difficulties in inserting hairpin crescendo or decrescendos into my music layout by using either Smart Shape menu or keyboard shortcuts. I'm sure there is a hiccup in the program that I'm not acquainted with. Clicking and dragging brings up NOTHING.

I'm on F 25 and Mac.
Sometimes I have to try 10 or more times before hairpins appear, with Smart Shapes and mouse.
Really annoying!
