On measures 3, 4 , 6 & 7 of the attached file there are some notes of the Violin that Finale considers difficult to play, and show them in yellow.

Is there a way to personalize the normal range, but for a single instrument? I mean, I could agree with Finale's point of view abaot every other instriment but the Violin, and maybe I'd like to change the normal range only of the Violin.

I am grateful to you for reading and helping my message

I don't see any yellow notes. Which setting are you using? I have chosen Advanced.

m. 3/3 & 4/1: Eb on third line above staff for Violin 1 & Violin 2
m. 6/3 & 7/1: F abobe that Eb for Violin 1 & Violin

Advanced Settings? Where do I find that, please, zuill?

In the View menu. Out-of-Range Notes has 4 options. It appears you have Intermediate chosen. I have Advanced, so no yellow notes.

Better yet - talk to an experienced violin player.

Thank you, zuill, I've seen I have Intermediate chosen.

If I cannt select ou-of-range notes by instruments I prefer to leave it as it is, in intermediate. I think it's a good guide if one has doubts about ranges.

Since they color doesn't print, it is not a huge concern for final output. If one needs to check for out of range notes by instrument, there's a utility for that (a plugin, that is).
