In Mac Finale 25 (and likely prior versions), when I change the bar line for a measure in one part, it affects the bar line for every other part in the score. Anyone know how I can disable that?
I believe bacherlorbob meant this actually. And if not, I would like to know the answer to it, if possible. Measure Tool applies to all the staves equally and I'm not sure if barlines could be adjusted "per part" with Staff Tool.

The only way I know of is by hiding the barlines and then adding them back in as expressions. If you want barlines between the staves, There's a group option to only do that. You could define such a group only for the bars where you want the potpourri.

We need a clearer description of this issue.bachelorbob wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 9:50 pmIn Mac Finale 25 (and likely prior versions), when I change the bar line for a measure in one part, it affects the bar line for every other part in the score. Anyone know how I can disable that?
Is this a matter of layout differences between the linked part and the score?
Like change a barline in the linked part, but not in the score?

I finally determined a method to achieve this. (For this particular Baroque composition, most of the measures lack barlines, but the original Basso continuo part has occasional solid barlines.)
I began with all measures in all performance edition parts being dashed barlines. With the organ grand staff as a group, I edited the group attributes to 'Use Alternate Group Barline' as 'Normal.' Intuitively, this would change all of the organ group barlines to solid. It does not, which is likely yet another Finale 25 (where I stopped updating) bug. From there, I was able to select the barline of each organ measure that needed to be solid and change it.
I feel as though this was the first option I unsuccessfully tried. Why it would not have initially worked, but now began working as the very last edit of this edition, I have no idea.
Note that the duet instruments are also grouped, also have 'Use Alternate Group Barline' selected, and the selection is 'Dashed.' This group has 'Draw Barlines' 'Only on Staves,' while the organ grand staff is set to 'Through Staves.'
