Is there a simple quick way to put in a tempo mark (quarter note = 85)?
I first went to the expression tool, proceeded through the 'flowingly' path etc. but it shows the word flowingly instead of the (quarter note = 85).
I can't seem to make the tempo change on playback if I edit and place the mark instead of 'flowingly
Am using win 26.
Thanks for any help,
George

I use the expression tool twice: I’ll create the tempo mark as needed, and the expressive text separately. I run into this a lot when I’m doing copywork for the Barbershop Society. So I may have q=90 brightly.

If you go that way, make sure that the one you are copying actually affects the tempo. There are some in there that don’t. Look at the playback tab to be sure.

Thanks a lot Motet and Miker.
I had a little trouble on the playback, but worked around it. Looks like I can't change the tempo by merely using the button bar on top (say 80 to 120) etc. unless I go through the expression tool as you suggested.
Now, if I could just find a way to get a Gibson 175 sound on playback, I'd really be happy.
Thanks again you guys.
