Can barlines be omitted from one stave of a system while keeping them in another stave of the same system?

Yes use staff attributes in the staff tool.

That will remove barlines on a staff all the way through. If you want to do it only for certain staves within a system (which is what I think you are asking), then you need to use a staff style.

bw00ds,

We need more info.

It is not clear what layout you are trying to create.

If I understand you correctly, you need to omit the staff’s barlines in one specific system only (not in all systems in the entire document) - right?

Does your document display barlines between the staves? - or only on the staves?

Is the Finale document a two-staff document (like e. g. a piano score)? - or a multi-staff document (like e. g. a string quartet)?
I am guessing it is a two-staff document - because of your word “another”.

The document is a two-staff document (this is basically a worksheet). I need the top staff to not show barlines. There are no barlines between staves.

Define and apply a new staff style with Barlines unchecked.
