Arrow with Jazz Font
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
I have always wondered why the Jazz font family doesn't include an arrow - seems like a fairly basic sign for jazz writers (way more necessary than the glasses icon, IMO). Am I missing it? If not, does anyone have a workaround that fits the general 'look' of the Jazz font?
The Jazz font family has a unique hand-written quality that is quite visually pleasing (at least to me) - seems like creating my own shape would be inconsistent with the aesthetics of the font (thus, my question).

Pardon my ignorance.
I do not recall that I have seen this “fairly basic sign”.
1) In what direction is it pointing? - up? - down? - left? - right?
2) For what is it used?
Could you perhaps attach a graphic that shows it - and shows how it is used in music notation?
The better we understand, the better we can help.

If you write "Continue BD pattern", the arrow is not really necessary, is it? That's what "continue" is for. There should be handwritten arrow fonts available, usually free. Do a Google search.
