Moving systems up and down in Page Layout tool reflows measures

Occasionally when I move a system up or down in the Page Layout tool it will trigger the reflow of measures from one system to the next. And sometimes, just switching between the Page Layout and Selection tools will cause a reflow. Since I'm not changing the number of measures in a system, I don't understand why it does this. I've got Automatic Music Spacing turned off at this point.

I've gotten around it by locking systems, but I don't always remember to do that. I might get to the end of formatting a part and look back and find that Finale has made a mess of my carefully formatted music. I guess it's a bug, but does anyone know how to prevent this?

You might try turning off Automatic Update, as well.

The shortcuts are so easy, I don’t mind doing it myself.

At the top of the pane Automatic Settings there is (at least in my own copy of Finale) a pop up menu for
Reflow Measures

One of the menu items is
Across Systems (Maintain System Locks)

Another menu item is
Only Within Systems



Personally I always lock all systems.

Have you tried unchecking "Reflow systems across pages"

Normally I want measures reflowed across systems and pages as I format the parts, so it would be inconvenient to turn that off and on to get around this that only happens sporadically. I appreciate the suggestions, though.
