Hello Everybody,
I am hoping that someone has run into this situation before and knows how to fix it....
I am writing a jazz score and for some strange reason in the Tenor Sax part (only) any note C (3rd space) and above is yellow indicating danger range. I myself play tenor sax and I can tell you that it is nowhere near the danger range of even a beginner player.
All the other parts are fine.
I run finale on a Mac M2 and have Finale version 27.
thanks

Go to View -> Out-of-Range Notes and select the "Off" option:

If I forget to turn the check range off it drives me wild, the players I work with can go way above the range generally quoted. I think maybe Finale has a huge market in education so they have quite narrow recommended ranges. French classical saxophone players play standard classical repertoire transcriptions using an extended range and many jazz players have no trouble playing much higher than the orchestration books recommend, so it is of no use to many composers and arrangers.

I set my tenor sax to Beginner and nothing shows out-of-range until two ledger line D above the staff.
Finale 27.4.1 - Perfect Layout Silver - Note Performer 4.4 - SmartScore Pro 64 - Windows 11

Something is amiss. Do you mistakenly have View/Display in concert pitch set?
Do the pitches sound right when played back? Also, check the score manager. It should say Tenor Sax and the transposition should be "Up M9" (not "Up M2").
