My question is about the placement of "rit" on the keyboard part. On the attached file, I want
the singers to begin the rit at "break of day". But the harpsichord does not play at that moment,
but shortly after. Should I place the harpsichord "rit" over the G#, or as I have done it? Same with the "a
tempo." Second question, when I click the Expression tool tool and select "rit" it places the "rit" at the top
of the system, not over the individual part. How can I do it? Thanks. BTW I am aware of the crowded lyrics.

What you've done is fine. It's OK if a rit. is not over the note. The keyboardist should follow the singers.

Thanks. Now I'll write a motet.
