Hello!

I was wondering if there is a way to do mass edits (for all staves at ones) for the smart shape tool, just like you have for the articulation tool or expression tool.

For example: add a crescendo to all staves at ones instead of going through each staff individually.
I know there's a way to copy just the crescendo from staff to staff, but that's also quite an effort if you're writing orchestral scores.

Thanks a bunch!

Is Paste Multiple what you are looking for? You would need to use the edit filter to just choose Smart Shapes.

The "Hairpin Creator" Lua plug-in script does exactly that. Download from here: https://www.finalelua.com/scripts?searc ... %20Creator.

Once installed, you will see four options in the plugin menu:
• Hairpin create Crescendo
• Hairpin create Diminuendo
• Hairpin create Swell (<>)
• Hairpin create UnSwell (><)

Works great for quick hairpin entry in scores.

Totally get your struggle with the smart shape tool. As of my last check, most music notation software doesn't have a built-in feature for mass edits with smart shapes like crescendos across all staves.
