I think I used to be able to correct this with "tools". Is there anyway this can now be done for the whole piece of music?

I have been sing FiNALE for at least 25 years......you would think I would remember (I'm now 80 !!!) how to do this !!!

Collisions between ties and articulations may require manual adjustments.

A different story is collisions between slurs and articulations.

You are using v26 - right?

In v26 you can edit the articulations one by one, and tell them to avoid slurs:

In the Articulation Designer there is a pop up menu for the articulation’s interaction with slurs.

In the pop up menu there are three menu items:
Ignore
Always Inside
Auto Inside/Outside
