I'm trying to copy the measure I attached.
When I move the firs A from upstairs to downstairs with the Note mover tool it's all right.
But when I go on with the second A the first one disappears and the measure looks messy.
Maybe there's another way to do it?

I appreciate your always valuable help

I would keep the 'A' on the treble staff, as long as there are 'Bbs' just a half step away. That's really an odd rhythm.

And I don't understand the need for the cross-staff notes from the treble, since they are already in the bass staff.

jose oscar,

1) I am unable to reproduce your problem.
For me, no A’s disappeared.
I suggest that you attach a (small) Finale document, for the gurus to examine.

2) Here is a slightly different version of the layout:

To do cross-staff notation like this with the beam between the staves, enter everything on the same staff, beamed together, then use the TG Tools cross-staff plug-in.

jose oscar,

Unfortunately I do not have v25 installed anymore.

I opened your attached Finale document in my v26 - and I did not experience your problem with disappearing A’s.

See the attached Finale document (in v26 format).

Regarding the notation of the passage. The way the notes are positioned on the staves shows the division between the hands while also showing the collective rhythm more clearly than if rests were used. It looks correct to me. But the positioning of a dotted value in the middle of a beat is usually best avoided. Maybe this rhythm repeats a lot iand this was intended to simplify the notation? If so, it might be advisable to use a tied value for the first one or two repetitions, and then use the abbreviated dotted version for what follows.

Thank you for your contribution, John,
You are maybe right. Sometimes I've noticed some small mistakes of notation in the book I am learning.
This measure is taken from it.
Other than that this book is about the complicated rhythm of a "palo" of Flamenco called Bulerías.
