Some days ago I asked and Peter gave me this answer:

Selection Tool.
In the Top Staff, select the measure.
Utilities menu > Rebeam > Rebeam to Time Signature…

It worked

I don't know why it doesn't work this time

I appreciate your help

Hello, Jose oscar, I'm not sure what you want to do, but judging from your text description, I guess you want to do something like this.

The method of Rebeam to Time Signature works on my side. You just need to select it and set it correctly.

But the faster way here is to select the 8th note, then press the "/" key of the keyboard, and then they will Beam together.

Thank you, Shinohara 1027,

1) When I Utilities/ Rebeam/Rebeam to time signature the display changes from 6/8 in dot quarter + dot quarter into 6/8 in 6 eight notes.
Then nothing changes

2) The second method (Select/press the "/" key of the keyboard) probably works on a desk computer, but on my laptop not

My first guess would be that you are rebeaming to a 6/8 time signature of:
Number of Beats: 6
Beat Duration: Eighth

Instead, try rebeaming to a 6/8 time signature of:
Number of Beats: 2
Beat Duration: Dotted Quarter
