I'm writing a song in ¾ time signature, and I've tried to create triplets with four quarter notes in a ¾ compass but I couldn't. What is the trick to do this? Any help?
I"m using Final3 v.27.0.3 for Mac.

1) There is a free maintenance update to Finale v27.4.1.146.

2) It is not clear to me what you mean?

Take a look at the attached graphics.

A or B?

In Simple entry, enter the first quarter note, then press Option+9. Select four quarters in the space of 3 quarters and click OK. Finale will then create the triplet padded out with quarter rests. Replace the rests with your notes.

Thank you for your answer. I was not pressing Option, that's the question. What I was trying to do is in your B attachment. Thank you.
