Can I Add a Slur in A Part and See It In the Score?

If you add a slur in a part, it will appear in the score, without any other instruction (no "Relink...").

Doh! You are right! Thanks!
With your encouragement, I looked more closely and saw I had too many documents open and was looking for the slur in the wrong version of the score!!
I had thought this was the way it was supposed to work and was kicking myself for getting old and feebleminded in forgetting how it was supposed to work. I see now the problem was worse than I thought!
