Does anyone know if finale can print at the top of a piece of music a graphic that tells the player to play all pairs of straight eighth notes as a crotchet and quaver in a triplet.

I see it commonly throughout jazz charts and I think I've seen it a finale file somewhere but cannot for the life of me work out where it's hiding.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,
Dan

What you are looking for is available via the expression tool. Click on the button "Shape" and you'll find it.

Or you could save some time and put a "Swing eighths" text block up there :-)
