Hey!
Ive recently installed Finale 2014 on both Mac and PC. Having also acquired Garritan samples has helped a lot.
I have been exporting audio files on the PC mainly and that has worked without any problems. But I have now tried to export on my mac but the file will not appear on the desktop or any other location of wich I choose.
Any suggestions?
The exporting process goes on without any problems as far as I can tell.
Kind regards.

My first guess would be that there is a problem with the file name.
Try again with a short file name (and no forbidden characters).
You can always rename the audio file later, and give it a longer name.

Has there been any resolution to this issue? I have the same problem with certain files. I have tried renaming the file several times, several different ways. I tried exporting it on two different computers and two different versions of 2014 and OSX software. I've tried saving it as a 2012 file, reopening that file and exporting it, and alas - nothing!! Thinking that perhaps this file was corrupted, I even created a new file altogether, copied the information into the new file, then tried to export, and still notta!! I'm beginning to think it's a problem with the length of the file - a 14 minute piece - because I had the same issue with another file that was a 20 minute piece. Is there a time limit for exported audio files??

1) There may be a problem with the actual file size of the audio file.
An audio file with the double duration also has the double file size - no matter the number of instruments playing.
In Other Words:
An audio file with the duration of 14 minutes is a huge file.
2) Saving the audio file may also take some time.
What playback device are you using in the Finale document?
- MIDI?
- Audio Units?
If you use MIDI playback, then saving as audio file can be quite fast.
But if you use Audio Units playback, then the audio file is saved in real time, so that saving a 14 minute audio file takes 14 minutes.
