In a Finale 2012a.r3 installation for Mac, running on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro with 16GB of memory that was recently upgraded to OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), Finale quits unexpectedly as soon as I use playback. Every time.
When I first opened Finale after upgrading to Yosemite I was required to install a Java revision (I think, I wasn't paying strict attention, but I think Java), and I wonder if that is the problem.
Is Finale 2012 simply incompatible with Yosemite?
And is 2014 working any better?
Thanks.

Followup: I have removed Finale 2012 and done a clean install from the DVD. I was not prompted to upgrade Java, but I have exactly the same problem: quits as soon as I try to use playback.

Yep. According to MM, if you want to use 2012, don't upgrade to Yosemite. 2014 works fine.
