Auxilliary Percussion Sounds

Hi,

Using Finale 2014 on a Mac.

I have a percussion part that's pretty simple, just a gong and an egg shaker. As I'm composing the piece as I go, I wasn't sure what percussion I'd want when I started so I chose the basic orchestral percussion, which doesn't have the shaker sound in it. I'm trying to add it, and at first I couldn't get it to make any sound, and now after mucking around with it for half an hour, I've managed to get it to make a sound like a cymbal, but that's about it. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Or even what I did right.

I've attached a bunch of screen shots, although the 100Kb limit makes them pretty fuzzy... I'm hoping there's a clue in there telling you where I'm going wrong? Thanks!
