I recently got a piano keyboard for my office, to connect to my computer. CICW purchased a USB/MIDI cable to connect it to my computer, but I’m having some issues with it.
When I first plugged it in, Finale 2014 said that I didn’t have the correct driver... So, I went to the preferences for the USB/MIDI cable in the control panel and updated the driver. Now that said that it worked. However, Finale still said the same thing. Some online forums that I read recommended restarting my computer. I did this. And then it really broke… After restarting, I was no longer able to open Finale unless I unplugged the USB/MIDI cable or, if it did open, it would open and get stuck right away.
Can you help troubleshoot? I’ve restarted 3-4 times already…I have a Windows 7 computer.
Finale won't open when a USB/MIDI cable is plugged in.

I would suggest that you contact Tech Support on this. They have the most experience with different hardware configurations.
