I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this, since this isn't technically a problem with MIDI.

I have been arranging a piece with a violin section, a viola section, a piano, and some other instruments. However, when I play back using Audio Units, the string sections play a short moment later than the piano does when they are set to play on the same beat. The problem still applies after exporting an Audio File. The problem does not persist when using MIDI. If necessary, I can attach a file in progress, but I doubt this is something specific to my file. Is there an easy fix to this? Thanks in advance. I'm using Finale 2014 on a Mac (El Capitan).

1) I think that we need more info from you:
Is the problem isolated to one particular document - or does it happen in all documents?
Are there instruments sharing the same channel?
What playback device/playback software are you using?

Please specify the steps you've already taken, so that we can rule out things.
Have you e. g. tried trashing your preferences file? Tested a brand new user account? Restarted the computer?

Some of the users there have a lot of experience/knowledge in playback issues.
