I have used Finale for many years ( current version is 2014 on windows), but never really got into the midi sounds etc.
I'm trying to get midi to play Pizz sound on contrabass
Under midi/human playback/preferences/instrument tech/ strings / filter - the filter spot for Pizz is blank where as the others all have a GPO filter listed - where is it hiding/ what setting isn't correct (yes Midi is set to play VST)
I have included a screen shot for clarity
Also have a secondary question - in Finale 2014 are there presets for acoustical settings - ie "Concert Hall" "Studio" etc. - if so how do I get to them?
Thanks
GPO filter missing for Pizz. technique

I "Miss spoke" about "midi being set to VST"
under midi/audio - VST is selected (just like Ronald's screen shot) - therefore the ks for Pizz should sound, but the filter for that particular string sound is blank - see above screen shot
I guess the real question is how/where do I get that particular sound filter to appear and therefore play back be correct?

As long as a KS sound is chosen, you don't need the filter, I believe.willB1919 wrote:I "Miss spoke" about "midi being set to VST"
