Hello,

My OS is Windows 10 and finale2010.I don't know why my "green line"indicating cursor disappear when l use Playback button to play my music score I typed. This problem have happened several of days earlier and no any settings l set to affect this finale2012,so that it should not any happen like this.Who can help me tackling it back to normal ,please? I really need to have this finale software to help me to work in music!

Sometimes recreating the preferences files will get this back. Usually just a reboot is all I need, however.

My windows version is Windows 10.Do you mean I need to find out the Preference Files by Windows 10 for getting back the "Green Line Vertical Cursor"?

One can if one knows that those are the files in question, which no one has mentioned up to now, if one knows how to search for files on Windows, and if one knows what to do once they're located. This is not simple for everyone; in fact, it's all pretty arcane, especially if someone is not technically-oriented.

I have already found" finmidi.ini and finale.ini" in C drive. What can I do next steps for "getting Green line back to the normal" ?

Close Finale. Move those files to the Recycle Bin (don't delete all the way or empty the Recycle Bin). Start Finale and see if the problem is solved. If not, close Finale, open the Recycle Bin, and restore those files (select Move and Replace).

I have not gotten back Vertical Green Line for my finale 2012 even when I deleted the 2 problem files (finmidi.ini and finale.ini). I would give up to deal with this problem.I need to playback my score with this Vertical Green Line for knowing my music movement . This finale 2012 I spent much money to buy. I do not know that would happen like this when I reinstalled to my new pc and windows 10. I am not skilfull in using Information Technology to find out what it causes this problem. And hoping your help.But I am so tried and frustrated to deal with it. I WANT TO GET BACK THE VERTICAL GREEN LINE(CURSOR) FOR LETTING ME KNOW MY MUSIC MOVEMENT IN MY COMPUTER SCREEN.

On a certain day , I opened reinstalled finale2012, suddenly my “green indicating cursor” came back again.Almost at the same time with “green indicating cursor”, a little window notice box appeared which noticed me that Garritan ARIA Player:can’t find install directory , please reinstall.When I reinstalled this Garritan ARIA Player and pressed screen Playback,I supposed that it would be playing with sound.I disappointed that it had no sound yet.It let me to found out reason and solution for no-sound, finally , the problem have been solved by setting scores which must being played through MIDI.Now my problem ,the title”help me getting Green Line back to the normal!!!” has been solved.The green indicating cursor has came back really!!!
