I wasn't sure how to name this topic, but I did my best.

I had some major issues starting last night with Finale and VST/Aria/Garritan, as well as Softsynth, with lots of crashing. I did all kinds of troubleshooting, and this is an area where I have good expertise. I tried deleting the preferences. I looked at the preferences file. I was close to reinstalling Finale (v25) when my brain reviewed my actions of the past 24 hours. The only change I made was installing the newest JW plugins into the plugins folder.

So, I moved them all out of the plugins folder and, lo and behold, everything began to work properly. No reinstall necessary.

So, my question is, am I the only one? If so, I'll try putting the plugins back one by one to run further testing. I anyone else has had issues, and have pinpointed the particular plugin at fault, I would like to know. Also, if there is a plugin causing the problem, Jari should be informed.

Just so this doesn't get lost in my original post, I'm doing a second post.

I discovered the culprit. It is the jwtaffsetpanel64 plugin. I actually had that installed since the beta versions came out in October. However, I am guessing it is conflicting with one of the new plugins I downloaded yesterday. So, it may not be this plugin, but a new one that is causing the conflict. I'll report back if I discover the new one that started the behavior.

P.S.: I have discovered the conflicting plugin: the jwtie64 plugin. Either of the 2 plugins can be used, but cannot exist in the same folder. I will try putting them in separate folders.

Look at the MakeMusic KnowledgeBase article about this issue. They are taking it very seriously.

Pretty much the same issue here. Right now I have just removed v25.3 from my system until MM gets a handle on the cause.
F2014.5 still working wonderfully well for me as are the prior iterations going back to F2010.
