Hi all,

I am working on a file and noticed that Finale doesn't play the the rhythms correctly, which I first found very strange.

I think that the person who sent me the file, made it with the hyperscribe and played it quite sloppy. He corrected it with the quantization settings, which is why it looks good on the screen. But in the playback I hear the sloppy playing.
If I change the quantization settings to include 32nd and 64th notes and click on "retranscribe" I can see the sloppy playing.

My question: how do I get rid of the sloppy played notes? How do I tell Finale to play back (and export in midi) the notes how they appear on the screen?

Thanks!

Emile

I could be wrong here, but I think that the following steps will clear the “rhythm interpretation”:

Selection Tool.
Select All.
Edit menu > Clear Selected Items…
Click the button “None” to de-select everything.
For the MIDI Data, select “Performance Data”.
Click OK.
