I was writing a piece for piano + violin + cello. I used to be able to play it back normally and all three instruments would play.

Then I remember getting some pop-up about playback or something, and after that the piano never played and I can only hear the awkward countermelodies of the violin and cello.

How do I make the piano play again?

If we had a lot more information (MIDI, Garritan, etc. for starters) or an actual file to examine, then we might be able to help. Maybe you muted the track, or it's just playing too softly. We have no way of knowing.

The pop-up I mentioned had something to do with Aria, I think. I doubt I ever touched the tracks and muted them, but I have no idea what's going on, so here's a file.

You had the Piano assigned to Bank 3, but no sound source was chosen for bank 3. Either choose something there, or change it to bank 2, or even bank 1. By the way, if you choose Bank 2, set the volume to something other than 0, or you won't hear anything. 0 volume is the same as muting.

I went into MIDI/Audio > VST Banks and Effects and turned up the volume for Bank 2, SmartMusic Soft Synth, which made the piano sound.
Then I accidentally did something funky and now the violin and cello won't play... So I'm just going to start a new document because I didn't have much written anyway. Should've done this first instead of commenting here, ha.
