Version 2014.5
Mac El Capitan
Hi...this has been something of an annoyance to me for years now, and I've not addressed it here because frankly I know that when real people are playing what I write, they'll do it properly....
In any case, here's an example: A bar in common time will have 4 quarter notes all the same pitch. The playback will play the first of those, but even with accents on the notes (that are not staccato) playback will not play the rest of them...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

So here's a sample of what I'm getting at...if you solo the trombones, you'll notice that the notes both of the triplet figure in the first bar, and all the notes in the second bar after beat 1 seem not to be played or played so quietly that when all instruments are on, they are absent....and in this case, that second bar of quarter notes in the bone section are meant to be loud and proud specifically to help offset the syncopation in the other parts....this only happens when the notes in question are the same pitch, and if there is no staccato articulation on the notes.
Again, any insights are welcome and appreciated.

This is a known issue that I believe MM has not shared with the user base. Under Preferences/MIDI Data, change the Start/Stop time option to Ignore MIDI data.
