Running Finale on a Windows machine, using an M-Audio MIDI keyboard. When I use hyperscribe, every single note has a double head, rendering the results useless. Other than that it's working fine (pitches, rhythms are accurate). I followed the advice found here: http://makemusic.custhelp.com/app/answe ... /a_id/3552 but the problem persists. My eternal gratitude to whomever can explain why this is happening and what can be done about it.

Another thing that doesn't get mentioned in that article is the following :
some midi keyboards are able to send data on 2 midi channels. If it is the case with your keyboard, make sure you send data only on one channel (sometimes called "single" mode).

I am just starting to try and use Hypercribe with a midi accordion, which, by default, sends treble midi notes on Channels 1 and 4. All MIDI accordions do this, as far as I know and there is no way to turn it off on the instrument. The program says the base MIDI IN channel is Channel 1. Is there any way of blocking Channel 4 as an input channel?

Did you try the Hyperscribe Options, where a single input channel can be selected ?
I simply hope that PrintMusic has that option...

Thanks michelp but Printmusic 2011 doesn't seem to have that option. I may have to use a keyboard as an input source instead of my accordion. Is there a device that can strip channels form an instrument's MIDI output. I could borrow a MIDI controller.
