Midi playback with the Yamaha DGX500

I am able to get playback on the DGX500, but I don't know how to access the other banks besides GM. Tech support said I had to find an instrument "definition" file provided by the software manufacturer, which I'm assuming is what coda calls instrument libraries. I have found no trace of this anywhere. Please help!
