New staves, same MIDI!

Hello everyone,

I just added new staves to my orchestra score and now am not able to assign different instruments to each staff. If I'm in Studio view and I click a staff in order to associate it with a given instrument, this automatically causes all the new staves to have this instrument assigned to them. If I change them in other recently added staves, the instrument now chosen will be associated to all new staves, even the one I had just assigned a different instrument to. Can anyone help me?

You assign different instruments in the instrument list. Window - Instrument List. Just remember that when you add a new staff, Finale automatically assigns the instrument and MIDI channel of the first staff. If you change just the instrument to an already existing instrument name, then all the same instrument staves change as well. You need to change your new staff to an new instrument name and then a new MIDI channel.
