Corrupt file or corrupt finale?

Hey,
I've been working on a certain finale file for a while in PrintMusic 2010 for Mac (it's a trial but is 20 days within the limit) and I saved it and closed out and now whenever I try to open the file in printmusic on my mac the program unexpectedly quits. However, I can see the file perfectly in coverflow and finder's preview pane. Can a few of you try opening the file to see if the file itself is corrupt or if it is just a problem with my computer's version of finale (it's attached)? Also, any recommendations?
Thanks,
John K.

My copy of Finale 2010 crashes when trying to open the document.
I only get the document icon in Cover Flow and Quicklook - no view of the document's music contents.
My copy of Finale 2010 works fine on my own Finale documents.
I think that this document is corrupt.
Can you create new documents with your copy of PrintMusic 2010 demo?

I can create new documents in my demo. Any suggestions as to how I might be able to recover the doc? I've got the original parts in a separate document, I just don't want to have to go back and redo all the formatting, lyric-entering, and other work I did in the final version.

Printing and saving is definitely supposed to be disabled in demos. I can't create new documents with the Windows version, so that's where your bug is I would think.johnkemnetz wrote:I can create new documents in my demo.

I could be wrong here, but I seem to recall that the PrintMusic demo is fully functional (= can save and print) for 30 days.peterqd wrote:Printing and saving is definitely supposed to be disabled in demos. Well, that's strange! I checked on the Printmusic site and it says this:Peter Thomsen wrote:I could be wrong here, but I seem to recall that the PrintMusic demo is fully functional (= can save and print) for 30 days.peterqd wrote:Printing and saving is definitely supposed to be disabled in demos. I downloaded the demo just last week and I wasn't able to print or save from the start! I still can't.Printmusic website wrote:* You can try out all of PrintMusic’s features for 30 days, including printing and saving.
* After 30 days, you will be unable to print or save until the program is registered with your PrintMusic 2010 serial number.

Peter, I'm not sure what the problem is. NP, SW, and PM are all (supposed to be) fully functional for 30 days. I certainly used the PM2010 demo for 3 weeks before I purchased, saving and printing.

I think there might be something strange going on in this new machine! I had a problem authorising Fin2009 early this year when I reinstalled it and I've never bothered to sort it out. I use F2005 & 2007 virtually all the time, and if I do need 2009 I reboot with the old HD.miker wrote:Peter, I'm not sure what the problem is. Alternatively, it's possible I downloaded the PM demo and didn't install it for a few weeks.
