Hi from Turkey.
I'm a Finale 2012 Windows version user.
My notebook's keyboard is Turkish Layout. (No numpad area)

The Turkish keyboard number order is 9 0 * - Backsapace (as seen on picture)

When I choose "Laptop shortcut Table" Accidental: Half step down: - (minus key) comes default.
I want to assign Half step up shortcut to * (asterisk key), but Finale doesn't accept this key.
By the way I can assign other keys for this function.
(This is essential for microtonal notation.)

You might want to ask Finale tech support about this one.

If you are in a hurry, make a temporary change of the keyboard layout (the software, not the hardware) to american keyboard layout.
Then the laptop shortcut table will work.

Of course then the keys will produce other characters than the characters shown on the (hardware) keys.
Use a keyboard viewer program to see what each key will produce.

Thank you for your response. It works when I change the language to English. (American Layout)
but this time I'm lack of Turkish characters.
Anyway, this is a bug of finale. I will write to tech support.
see you...
