Finale 2014 Playback Freeze Audio Engine Failures

Finale 2014
I have an issue of playback freezing on the first note. No sound. Not in AU or Midi. When I launch finale I get the error "Audio Engine failed to load - Error 7" it says to restart. I've tried a lot of suggested solutions posted from MakeMusic. Nothing works. So, is this common? I have no special equipment or midi interfaces. Very basic setup.
I have a big job in the studio, and can't wait too long for a solution. Your help is welcomed.
