hello all

i want to use a 2/8 time signature, but when i click on the time signture tool and then right click to highlight the measure and change the time, it won't let me change it to 2/8. yes, i did click on the edit time signature and the next screen comes up and 3/8 is as low as you can go. what's the deal?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Assuming that you are using Finale:

In the context menu, click on the Edit Time Signature.

In the dialog box Time Signature, set the "Number of Beats" to 1, and set the "Beat Duration" to a quarter.
Remember to specify the Measure Region.

Click the button "More Choices", and select the option "Use a Different Time Signature for Display".
For the display Time Signature, set the "Number of Beats" to 2, and set the "Beat Duration" to an eighth.
