I've encountered this problem a number of times with different documents. When I enter page view, all notes, staves, articulations etc. disappear. Sometimes the little empty edit squares can still be seen. When I click 'Update Layout," the page and notes briefly appear, but any input (moving a stave, inserting a note, etc.) makes the page disappear again. Can anyone help me? This is extremely frustrating! I've attached the document.

Apologies -- I am unable to upload the file-type?

I've included a Jpeg of the disappeared notes.

This sounds like something you should take up with tech support.

Welcome to the forum!

This forum does not accept attachments with the Finale file name extension.

Before you can attach a Finale document in this forum, you must compress it, e. g. as a .zip file.
And the file size must not be more than max. 100 KB.

By The Way:
I suppose that your issue (= disappearing page) happens in some documents, but not in all documents, right?

I suspect file corruption.

As a test you could try …

1. (quick and dirty)
Copy the music into a fresh, new document, and check whether the issue happens there.

2. (slower, but safer)
Export the music as a MusicXML file.
Import the MusicXML into a fresh, new document, and check whether the issue happens there.
