Am on windows 8.1. Finale 2014.
Can I copy the tab staff by selecting, dragging, and re-copy to the notation staff without losing the chord symbols on the notation staff?
Thanks,
George

You are entering the TAB directly, but putting the chords in the notation staff? In the filter, deselect Chords and Fretboards. Then, you can drag the TAB staff up to the notation staff, and retain the entered chords.

If I misunderstand, please explain further!

The way I have been doing it is:
Enter tab,
Drag that to the notation staff,
Enter chords on notation staff,

Problem is:
If I change anything in the tab staff, I need to drag it to the notation staff. When I do that, the Chord Symbols disappear.
Would like the chord symbols to stay.

Hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
George

What have you selected in the Copy Filter?
Is the item “Chords & Fretboards”selected or de-selected?

I deselected as you mentioned and everything is as I wanted. Wasn't familiar with using the filter.
Thank you so much for your help.

George
