Double keystroke error with some metatools

I bought a new HP Envy laptop a few months ago and upgraded to Finale 25 (Windows 10). However in Speedy Entry, some of the keys (TAB which I've programmed to add a dot, Gray /, Gray *, Ins which I've programmed to add a tie) always give a double stroke which applies the selected shortcut and then removes it (pressing the key applies it, releasing the key removes it). If I hold the key down, after a second or two it rapidly applies and removes it. It does this on another added keyboard so it's not the laptop keyboard. It doesn't do this in any other program and I've tried all sorts of alterations to the keystroke settings in Windows with no success. I have TGTools 3.00beta5 installed as the keyboard remapper for the reprogrammed keys listed above. The rest of the shortcut keys work. Any thoughts?
