My hard drive recently crashed but I had everything backed up. After getting a new drive I have reinstalled everything. I am using a MIDIsport 2x2 to use a MIDI keyboard to input into my computer suing Finale. It has worked flawlessly for years but now does not. I reinstalled the driver on the new drive. Now when I play the keyboard I get a green light on the 2x2. Finale has an autosearch function that recognizes the IAC Driver. But no sound and no notes when I enter from the keyboard. I am on Mac OS 10.6.8, yes I known it's old but has been working beautifully until now. Any suggestions?

If the above doesn't work, with your interface and keyboard on, open AudioMidi Setup.app and delete the profile. If your Mac is detecting the hardware, it should create a new profile immediately. I've had to do this many times over the years.

It would be so kind if you explained what, for example, audio-midi setup app is.
