It has always baffled me how the Finale programmers decide which menu to place features in.
Is there any chance that 'Display in Concert Pitch' can be in the View menu in future issues? I use 2011; perhaps it has already been moved in 2012. View=Display to my mind!

No, it has not moved.cornopean wrote:…Do you happen to know if it HAS moved in 2012?
In Finale 2012 "Display in Concert Pitch" is still located in the Document menu.
Actually there is some logic in the current menu item distribution.
"Display in Concert Pitch" is located in the Document menu because it is a document specific setting.
You would expect to find document specific settings in the Document menu, wouldn't you?
The same applies to "Show Repeats for Parts".
It is a document specific setting, and it is located in the Document menu.
On The Other Hand:
In the View menu we have the sub-menu Show - with the sub-menu items "Hidden Notes and Rests" and "Percussion MIDI Values".
These settings are program specific, not document specific.

Ah - I see what you are saying! Thanks.
I take it all back.
What is more, I have just discovered (having just been to investigate what you said) Studio View. This may well revolutionize my use of Finale...
