I would really, really, really, really, really find it useful to be able to create text blocks on just select pages in linked parts. Yes, I know, there are workarounds, but it would be really helpful to be able to create a text block in, say, a Violin part that doesn't show up in any other part. The workarounds take up a bunch of time, which is great if you have the time, but when you're under tight deadlines, it's incredibly frustrating. I just want to be able to create a text block in the part -- or parts -- that need special instructions, and specify that the text block doesn't show up in any other part. I don't want to have to go through all the other parts, and move that same text block off the page.

There is a much easier way. You may consider it a "workaround", but there's always going to be some work in order to tell the app exactly what you want.

1. Create the Text block in the part you want.
2. Find the text block in the SCORE.
3. Right click: untick "Show".
4. Right click: Click on "Unlink in All Parts".
5. Find the text block in the Part where you want it to show.
6. Right Click: Show.

What you're doing is creating a text block, hiding it everywhere, then unlinking all the parts, then showing it in just one part.

There is an even easier way than Buon Tempi's method.

Create the text block on the part you want.

While holding down the override key (on Mac it's the command key) right-click the text block and unselect Show. This will cause it to be hidden everywhere.

Release the override key and right-click the text block again, select Show. This will cause it to Show ONLY in the part you are presently in.

If you need this function automated or often and with very similar textblocks, you might consider doing it within a script. Jari Williamson adressed this issue in his JWLua example script "Create Page Text in One Part Only".
