That makes sense!

I have been looking all over for that "Hide cautionary clefs, key and time signature" and could never find it. I just dealt with it!

About #1, there is another thing that could be useful :
Document Options -> Times signatures -> Uncheck "Display Courtesy Time Signature at end of staff systems". This will of course apply to the whole document and at the end of systems, as opposed to the Measure Tool method, which can be used for specific measures anywhere.

Normally you want to keep those cautionary changes--the end of a movement is a special case, so I use the measure attribute Ron mentioned.
