Playing back measures on top of my playback
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
Hello! I have been using Finale 2012 for Windows for about 5 years, and this problem has come up before, but never so persistently. I play my piece from the beginning, and everything works fine. Then, after stopping the playback and starting from a different measure (i.e. not measure 1), it will play a couple normal measures and then start playing from the beginning ON TOP of what's already playing. Also, it frequently ignores my tempo markings when I do this. Help?

Is this with all files or just one? If just one, we might need to see the file to help troubleshoot.

It only happens with some files. I'll upload the one that's currently giving me trouble.

Here is a link to a video showing what I'm talking about. A couple measures in (around m. 15 I think), it starts playing the song from the beginning while the other measures are still playing, and it doesn't remember my tempo marking.

Here's another example. It plays fine the first time, and I skip to measure 10 (right before the tempo change). When I play it the second time, I skip past measure 10 and it forgets the tempo change.

It's hard to follow what you're doing in the video, and with the crowd noise I can't really hear what you're talking about. How are you starting at measure 10? What are your Playback and Record options set to?
