Exporting clear Graphics out of Finale confuses me.
I'm in the process of creating videos with a lot of music content.
The content is either single images exported from Finale as JPEG at a resolution of 300 or screen recordings of a short (say 8 measure) piece of music done with the video software ScreenFlow.
The final output size mp4 from ScreenFlow is 1920x1080 (16x9).
I've had mixed results doing this with the music staff lines not being totally clear, especially in the mp4.
According to pixel to cm converters 1920x1080 = 50.8x28.575cm.
Because this seems rather large I've been making the page size in Finale (which unfortunately does not provide pixel sizes) half the above dimensions 25.4x14.296cm which is still the 16x9 ratio.
But, as I said, the clarity of the images, especially the 5 music lines is acceptable but not totally sharp as I've seen on the web by other music content providers.
Do I really need to make the Finale page size 50.8x28.575cm? I realize that creating half-size images and then outputting them in the 1920x1080 size might be the problem.
Does anybody have any experience in this? Should I choose a 600 or 1200 resolution when exporting graphics from Finale?
I could also select a higher kbits/sec output for the ScreenFlow movies (15000-20000 instead of 7000)
Any advice will be much appreciated.

Export as a PDF, which will be a vector graphic file, so you won't have to worry about resolution and pixels at all.

The ScreenFlow video will obviously depend on your screen, the zoom level, and the anti-aliasing of the OS.

JPEG is not your friend here.

If .pdf isn't feasible (and I see no reason why not), I'd try .png.
