Hi all,

I'm sorry for bringing this up because I noticed it has been asked here several times but the existing topics weren't able to help me out. So I bought Finale 2014 quite a while ago and recently I also bought Personal Orchestra 5. Afterwards I always used to be able to use it, and the Aria Player without any problems. However, I cleaned up my computer about a week ago and reinstalled Finale and Garritan, but whenever I want to try and use Personal Orchestra via the Aria Player, I can't select Aria Player neither in the Score Manager or the Device Setup menu. I checked and I have the Aria Player dll file in the VST support map and I have my GPO5 soundmap located in the data folder as well.

Can you help me out?

I would reinstall GPO 5. I changed my Libraries drive to a larger SSD last week and that's what it took for Finale to see it again.

Simply moving the files and trying to reset the path in Aria was not successful. Aria wouldn't see it till I reinstalled.

Hi and thanks for your help Mike. I already reinstalled both GPO and Finale 2014 several times as well as update the ARIA player. Everything is located just where it should be but Finale just doesn't recognize the ARIA player. MakeMusic support could be of no further help. Any other ideas?

Thanks again.

What does the stand alone app look like? I will assume that Windows is no different than the Mac in this regard. Mine is in Applications/Garritan Aria Player

Here's a screen shot. If Finale and GPO are not showing up here, than GPO will not be found in Finale, at least on my system.

When you reinstalled 2014, did you run both installers in the download package? You must run the Garritan Instruments for Finale installer, too or certain paths will not be set. Then reinstall GPO 5. This works for most. If there is only one installer, you have the demo — log into your MM account and download 2014 again.

You can also go to Garritan on the MM site to make sure that you have the latest version of Aria for Windows 10. It is likely that your 2014 install will not be current. Download and update. Scroll down to Update Now to get there.
