Hello,
I would like to have an exemple of each one of the fonts, to choose the one I want. Where can I find them ?
I'll see if I find in the web...
Thanks

Thank you John. I would like to see exemples of the different "abc" writing fonts proposed in Finale, not musical or other characters.
When I click on Fonts they doesn't appear for each one (Helvetica, Georgia, etc). All the font names are in the same font, and I have to test one by one, to choose the one I like. May be there's a way to see them on Finale ?
I found some in the web.

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about text fonts (like Helvetica, Georgia, Palatino &c.), right?Alfonsina wrote:… I would like to see exemples of the different "abc" writing fonts proposed in Finale, not musical or other characters.

As Far As I Know, there are no text fonts that are “proposed in Finale”.
You can use all your fonts in Finale.
Finale is not designed as a tool for font comparison.Alfonsina wrote:… May be there's a way to see them on Finale ? …
Have you tried FontBook?

Yes, I'm speaking about text fonts.
Here attached you see the list of fonts. I would like to know if it's possible to see each name of font in his specific font.

Finale does not display a font’s name in the font’s own typeface.
However, Pages does that.
Do you have Pages?
According to your profile you are using Mac OS X.
Pages is a Mac program (a word processor).
By The Way:
To truly choose a text font you should see all the characters, not just the (few) characters from the font name.
Often all the characters are displayed as a sentence that uses each character once.
A such sentence is called a pangram.
A well known english pangram is
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
which is exactly the pangram Finale uses in its dialog box Font:
It should be installed on your Mac computer.
PopChar is a third party utility that lets you select any character in any font.
PopChar displays all a font’s characters in a palette where you can choose the character, you need.
You can find - and buy - PopChar here:

You can use the Macintosh Font Book to preview installed fonts. Set the view to "Sample" and type over the sample type with your own choice of musical terms.
