Message:
Hi y'all.

I'm using a Mac with OS 9.1. I have a midi controller hooked up via a USB MidiMan. I want to use the midi controller to enter melody lines for a lead sheet. Anyway, I'm a rank newbie at music notation :) My midi thru is setup to feed output to the Quicktime musical instruments, as I don't have an outboard synth and my keyboard is a naked controller. I'm using OMS, the latest version.

I've checked my setup using Reason, and have no latency at all.

However, in Finale there is a huge latency in the midi sound being produced. I'm having huge difficulties monitoring my input. The notes being placed on the staff, however, seem to be in time.

Any suggestions for how to troubleshoot this? It seems to be Finale related only...

Thanks,
Mark
