Message:I suggest that you use layers.1. Begin by entering the upstem notes in Layer 1. If you have just opened your document, you are probably in Layer 1 already. 2. When you have entered the upstem notes, switch to Layer 2. You can find the layers in a menu in the lower left corner of the document window. 3. Enter the downstem notes in Layer 2. When a measure contains entries in more than one layer, the stems will go up in Layer 1 and down in Layer 2. You can change how the layers work on stems, ties and rests by going to
Options menu > Document Settings > Layer Options... Peter
