Message:Theresa,There is a padlock next to each locked system. In systems that are NOT LOCKED the number of measures in each system is allowed to change when you update layout. An example: 4/4, a measure containing a whole note. If you replace the whole note with sixteen 16ths, the measure will take more space when you update layout. And the system containing that measure might contain fewer measures after a layout update. In systems that are LOCKED the number of measures in each system is not allowed to change. I haven't experienced that the padlocks change color when I add notes. Is your video card driver updated to the latest version of the driver? Peter
